It's been a long time but I figure I should update everyone on one of my new experiences of the summer. I went to {Osheaga}, an annual music festival, for the first time! We attended 3 days worth of heat, rain, sun, music, and good times! Osheaga is the largest festival of its kind in Canada. It takes place in Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène, an island that is only accessible by the Metro. It not only showcases some big names, but it also attempts to show some emerging local and national artists. Over the three days, over 90 bands perform. This year some of the big names included: The Black Keys, Snoop Lion (nee: Dogg), Feist, Metric, Florence & the Machine, Garbage, City & Colour, The Shins, MGMT, Fun., Franz Ferdinand, the Sheepdogs, and many more, which can be seen {here}

Instead of staying in a hotel, we decided to rent an apartment, which was AMAZING!! It's something we would definitely do again. The place we chose was centrally located and had many restaurants and shops nearby. Oh, and it was super close to the Metro too!

I don't know if I could do such a big festival again, but it's a definite must try!

My last UK BBQ

Before graduation, some of the girls from "The Walk" held a BBQ for the group of us, along with any of our visiting parents. Thankfully the weather was perfect BBQ weather and the food and company were perfect! Thank you to Simone, Kat, Joey, and Taz for organizing this wonderful event!

Grad Ball @ Shaka Zulu, Camden Town

The night after graduation our Grad Ball Committee organized a dinner and after party at {Shaka Zulu} in Camden. It was sort of nice to head back to our old neck of the woods to spend one of my last few night left in England. They had free cocktails/beer/wine on arrival, followed by a 3 course dinner, which was mediocre, some speeches, and then dancing until the buses took us home around 2 30 am. An amazing night with some great people -- glad I went!

Grad Night Dinner with the Parentals

The night of my graduation, my family decided we wanted to go somewhere fancy for dinner. I did a little online investigation and provided my parents with a selection of 4 or so restaurants to choose from. It was decided that we'd head to {Apsley's and the Lanesborough Hotel of London}, and boy am I glad we chose that place! The service was superb and the food was to die for! Below are some photos from the evening.
