2. Riverboat Cruise

The same weekend I went to {Fork and Cork} and while visiting my parents, we decided to spend our afternoon in Detroit on the river. We ended up taking a sightseeing cruise with {Windsor River Cruises}. It was pretty cool to hear about some of the historical things about the properties along the river and to get a look at some of the beautiful houses from the river side of things.

Interesting tidbit -- There's a church along the river (which is currently for sale) to which Al Capone donated the money for construction of a tower with a large light up cross. This structure was used as a signal for when Capone could safely cross the Detroit River to pick-up his Canadian Club Whiskey during prohibition.
